The mostly useless search engine on a budget
Privacy Information:

So here is the deal on privacy information. I don't run what would be considered a secure shop. I do try to stay up on the latest security patches for my servers, but I can't keep up with all of the known and unknown holes in the systems I run. Anyone who has worked with servers on the internet knows there is no such thing as security. Not only that, but saying I have a secure site only opens up the invitation to be hacked.

Logs: I let my logs cycle through a normal rotation and do not keep any archives of them. I also don't have any backups. If someone official sounding demanded to see my logs, I would gladly hand them over. These logs include things like IP addresses, queries, and anything else that goes through the search engine. I wish I could say that I will defend your privacy to the end, but this is a hobby and I cannot afford to hire an attorney to intimidate people back. I do think privacy is important, but I can't afford to protect you.

Cookies: As of this writing I don't use cookies to track anything. That is not to say some of the software I have implemented does not use cookies. It just might and I haven't looked into it. So cookies may or may not be created. If you are worried about it, there are ways to block cookies via your web browser.

Your personal information: I don't have user accounts. The only way for me to get your personal information is if you send it to me. And I promise I won't sell it. But back to that whole security thing, I also don't promise to protect it from being stolen or intercepted.

I think that about covers it. You can always contact me if you have a concern
